Tokopedia is one of the biggest online marketplaces in Indonesia. I have a new habit that is damaging my bank account. It is online shopping. The last time I shopped online, was when I topped up my phone credit. Tokopedia was having a cashback promotion at that time.

Tokopedia transferred the cash back to my OVO Points account. Before entering the promo code, I would recommend you to do some research first. I usually look for the code that gives me the biggest cashback.
But the process doesn’t stop there. There is a different cash back application/website that offers the same scheme. In this case, I use Shopback. It is a cash back reward program platform. The way it works is every time you click the online marketplace from Shopback apps, you will get cash back for the transaction that you made.
A few final notes
- This method of double cashback is uncertain, sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. To increase your chances, I would recommend installing Shopback Cashback Buddy on your google chrome and do all the steps on the browser.
- Unlike in OVO, the cash back that you get from Shopback is not accessible anytime. You need to wait for a certain amount of time until they finish the verification process.
- The amount of cashback that I got from Shopback is not as big as the one that I got from Tokopedia
Finally, I think this method is not for everyone because everybody is different. Some might think that the cashback amount is so insignificant that it isn’t worth the hassle. But for me personally, I love it because I can get the double cash back. Feels like I found a loophole and I am taking advantage of it.
